AcTree is encouraging people to take action and contribute to have a clean planet, that will affect future generations. The idea is represented by a website that displays data like the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere using NASA data.
The purpose is making anyone, anywhere, able to take step and plant trees, wherever they want in the world. A small action that will reduce the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere. Therefore, reducing pollution.
Ancient air bubbles trapped in ice enable us to step back in time and see what Earth's atmosphere, and climate, were like in the distant past. They tell us that levels of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere are higher than they have been at any time in the past 400,000 years. During ice ages, CO2 levels were around 200 parts per million (ppm), and during the warmer interglacial periods, they hovered around 280 ppm (see fluctuations in the graph). Right after funding the trees, you will receive a document that proves your action and ensures your rights as a funder. The price of each tree is also mentioned. The donated money will be used by people living in the region where you chose to plant. “If no tree was planted three (3) months after the donation, we will send you a mail if you want a refund”.
Individuals who can’t afford planting trees can click on the « Get Code » button in the DO IT ! window, and they can benefit from the donations to fully or partially cover the charges of the tree. They will be asked to fill an application and sign a contract proving that they have truly planted the tree in the chosen location.
If you want to make your impact real through donating for trees planting, go to the Fund IT ! button, you will have the choice to pay using paypal or to pay using a bank account . The donated money will be used by people living in the region where you chose to plant.
